Feeling the Vibe

I fell in love with this house the first time I saw it on the Internet

Our house is up for sale and know it’s sending out the vibe to the future owners to notice and come over and have a look! There are all types of words to use when expressing a feeling or event. I like using vibe because vibration means pressure waves, something making unseen but noticeable motion. Vibrations are usually detected by a variety of our senses. Vibe covers a lot of metaphysical territory and is a sweet hip 60’s retro word too.

Lately, I’ve had a few people tell me that my energy has a good feeling. The compliments have caught me off guard yet have been an indicator to the positive vibes sent out when I’m conducting energy work or just having a casual conversation. With the sale of our first home, it is very important to me to keep up the good vibes within and without the property. My heart sang when my real estate agent said to me this morning, “… the house has a good energy to it…” giving me hope in reaching the next owner though metaphysical means along with the common rituals of selling a house.

I do have a small gong outside of my front door which I strike to carry the sentiment or positive vibe I want to share with the world.

The past few months the house has been on the market have been quiet. Our original realtor made a career change prompting us to seek out a new agent. Reflecting on how we have gotten to this day and enjoying the turn of events only promotes the joy I feel. I believe when we are absolutely suppose to be aware of something, it will ring true in a very recognizable way. It was a very good day today and wanted to share in the good vibes!

Living on the Ledge

As a child I would take my fathers hammer and wallop a mixed assortment of landscaping pebbles on the driveway. Yes, I got in trouble for making a mess and creating divots on the pavement but I didn’t care… they were beautiful on the inside, nothing to how they looked on the outside. I had become rather obsessive compulsive with pulverizing them. Perhaps I was working out aggravation or simply bored, either way it took several punishments and lectures to curb my habit. It wasn’t until my adulthood and my fascination to all things mineral I’ve come to realize a big part of why I was doing this was to get energy from breaking them open.

Our home, my husband’s and mine, sits on a beautiful ledge that spans the neighborhood street. This rock comes into the basement and has been shaped by the original owners into a bench of sorts. There were several factors to why we bought this house and one of them was the ledge. Over the years I have had many personal revolutions and feel many were due to the energy of the house and land, with a nod to said rock. Another person on the block has commented on how happy she is when sitting in her living room. “The energy is wonderful in here, such a positive vibe. I get great ideas and I’m always in a good mood.” I laughed and replied, “It’s the rock!” She was surprised to realize the ledge runs right under that area of her house.

I have sat on this ledge and wrote. I have sat on this rock and practiced Reiki healing attunements. I’ve watched my nephews and niece run and stumble along this ledge many times (if it seems big to me, it must be a mountain to them). Many of my adult friends like to stand on it too. There have been times when a few have excused themselves and went outside to be alone with the rock.

Around this property I have rocks from my childhood home. I could not part with them once the house was sold. Some of the stones came from my maternal grandmother house’s rock garden and others I sat on growing up. I took what I could fit into the car and placed them around this yard. Now we are in the process of moving off the ledge and have no clue how I’m going to fit this rock into my car! There are a few pieces that have fallen off because of weathering. Those will come with us to our next move for sure, along with the others from my homestead. I have always surrounded myself with stones and believe in the comfort they share with me. Not sure just why I love minerals so much but sure it has spanned all of my lifetimes, not just this one.
