The Rite of Passage

evening clouds

There are many honorable moments that happen throughout our lives. If we are lucky, when the opportunities arrive, the event will have our attention and respect to notice the celebratory gift before us. Myself along with many other family members were able to witness my father’s passing a few days ago. The mental imagery from a psychic point of view is something I would like to document as well as share with you. Death should not be feared or thought of as problematic, yet embraced with respect and dignity to the best of our abilities. Because of what I believe to be true, I feel it is important to share, helping assist others with the passing to the next level of existence.

My father of 76 years was able to make a transition into the energetic realm without much difficulty, in my opinion. I feel having many of his loved ones present during death only helped. Sure it was emotionally trying but we all didn’t forbid him to leave us physically. My dad is the second person I’ve been with while they were dying. From my experiences with metaphysical practices, I was able to assist making sure to do what was necessary to help with the transition.

The process was quick with dad and I used my instincts not asking for permission to do certain things I deemed appropriate. When the nurse (an angel in a human’s skin) came in, I did repeat what was said out loud in a stronger voice to make sure my dad heard. Raising the vibration of love and compassion mixed with acceptance for the inevitable. The importance of knowing what was going on by all in the room made a difference for the better in comfort, knowledge and respect as a whole. Our family physician came in twice during his rounds making everything easier for my mother along with us as well. Everything seemed to be a group effort, the way life should be without one person carrying the burden of “X”.

Metaphysically, the first inkling was to open up the window’s mini-blinds. I did this casually without saying anything to those in the room with me. Simply going over to the window and twirling the pole to open the slats welcoming in the morning light. I felt guided to create a place for movement between the worlds. So grateful to have a room with a window! The next thing that crossed my mind was to make him more comfortable and what better way then to play some Irish music. My brother questioned this move I did automatically, to which I replied, “Dad loves music and it will bring him comfort” helping with all of our angst in the long run. Both of these actions were done with deliberate intention thus helping the magic of life to be further fulfilled with the rites of passage.

As family members were summoned, morphine increased (know he wasn’t uncomfortable, only wanted to talk but couldn’t physically thus the furrowed brow misunderstood as discomfort… and I didn’t press the issue for the increase cause he would have held on longer) the mental imagery was more vivid with typical guests one would expect to appear during a death. Because the Irish music was playing, in his good ear, the Banshee came forth. When she arrived, I said out loud, “Okay, trying to handle the Banshee in the room” while my mom, brother, and spouse looked at me with questions in their eyes and sealed lips. Her yell wasn’t unpleasant, just more-so startling because it was my first time hearing her in this lifetime. I owe my dear friend for bringing the folklore from Ireland to my attention on this one. In my minds eye, she appeared simply as a 4 foot, medium built, cloaked, brown haired woman in her mid 40’s. I was not afraid of her, rather startled if I am to be honest. Her announcement for impending death was something I was not ready to accept. Fear is a tricky monster and unfortunately it attaches itself to things that should not be classified as fearful (which is what I’ve been learning the past week).

220px-Banshee

Shortly after the Banshee sounded, I noticed The Grim Reaper standing in the hallway. This vision was not startling and had more of a sense of passage with calmness to him. Not sure if I was giving the Reaper a sex because of my beliefs or if a sex is assigned to the being. The Banshee was female but not typical as we humans know a female to be. This is true of the Reaper too. I think energetic beings take on the persona we idealize them with despite what they are truly are made of. Regardless, I did say out loud, “The Grim Reaper is here.” to which my brother replied, “Oh, Okay!” I don’t blame him one bit for the curt statement cause it isn’t something one saids typically. Actually, I was surprised that I said it out loud. Because I was taken back from the appearances and needing to voice things going on to help me with the process, perhaps I should have been more quite. Yet it’s not my personality to keep things lock inside. However, now thinking of my vocalizations, it may have not helped others and should have been something best kept to myself to be expressed at a later time.

At this point, my father’s sister had shown up along with my sister in law (whom I love dearly). I was more cautious with what I said out loud because of the mix of family bringing the count to nine in the room. At my fathers side, I told him in a strong voice (being his morphine increased to 6 milligrams) who had come to stay by his bedside. Not caring about what others thought about my motives, I was proud and honored to assist him with understanding the shifts in the Intensive Care Unit room he was in. Later I shared with my mother the vision of many backyard wild animals who ran through the room, out the window, guiding and ushering the next stage. My guess on the animals passing by was a testament of the care we shared with all of the outdoor animals our cats, windows, or other kill on our watch. Many were buried in the back yard or placed in the woods. The energetic recognition of my dear friend who stood up against the wall next to my mother for support along with my paternal grandfather who stopped by to show the way for his son into the next level of existence. All apparitions playing a part to usher a kind and loving soul to another field.

Trinity

My mother has summoned a priest to issue the last catholic rites. I had no choice but to drop to my knees and pray for an understanding father to not bind my father to his physical body but rather to help guide his transition to the next world with grace. I did not protest this catholic rite despite my misgivings of the ceremony, it was my mother’s wishes and I knew my dad and I would overcome misguided notions, superseding the inevitable. The man who came to administer the final rite was kind without pomp and circumstance. Eternally grateful for the person to administer and bond us all forever in prayer.

The last moments of my father’s physical life was my sister-in-law playing her children’s video in his ear. Their dad, her husband, my brother was away for work the other week and she recorded the 4 kids (aged 3 to 8 yrs.) saying hello to their dad during dinner. Her timing, sharing the voices of grandchildren is what made it possible for the transition of her father-in-law to take place. Not a moment too soon or too late; an absolute perfectly impeccable move on her part to assist. Spellbindingly magnificently choreographed, a man of great love was released from a physical body on the vibration of children’s voices to the after life.

Tools to Assist: Divination

Everyone uses some type of tool to get a job started or completed. Over the years and throughout our life experiences, we learn about all sorts of handy objects to assist us with projects.

Divination was taught to me over a year ago, it is a new process for me, well at least I thought it was. While writing this piece, I’ve realized I have stared at inanimate objects all my life. What was missing was the intention to notice messages coming though.

The August Blue Moon has caused a few different psychic effects for me. Usually the moon influences me two days before totality and 2 days after. Saturday night, the call to gaze into a piece of Blue Aventurine had to be heeded. Using this tool to look into the future and call bits of wisdom to my attention, would be my third time using the divination process.

The messages I got from simply clearing my mind and listening to the first thought or voice that came forward:

Glimmer, glimmer of hope (my interpretation, keep on dreaming)

All things in stride (all is fine, all will unfold in time)

Clean it up (choose better foods for my body)

Go deeper (keep on seeking understanding)

Listen to the trees, for they have a lot to say.

New Englander’s can’t help but marvel at the trees that fill our landscape. This part of the country is known for it’s amazing foliage come the fall season. Trees are the primary producers in ecosystems which serve so many functions in this world. Next time you need some advice or plan on meditating, go outside and listen to a tree, for they have a lot to say.

Become still near a tree; hush your mind and relax. Focus your awareness on the tree, touch it with your physical hand and make your other senses available to envelop it’s majesty. Introduce yourself, as you would another living thing, and extend common courtesy, like a flattering complement. Ask a question that only a tree would have vast wisdom about, remember they are always observing. Settle into a meditative state and have a conversation with the tree. Don’t forget to give thanks when it is time to part as you would a dear friend. You will most likely be walking in greater awareness for the rest of the day because you have a new confidant on the earth.

If you can believe that everything is energy based (objects contain a specific amount of life force) and that all matter has some type of conscience within… then you understand that everything we come across throughout our day, is important for our well-being. Paying attention to one thing, no matter how big or small, allows other objects, situations, events, and life to become clearer in a way that makes perfect sense.

Rocks 101: An Introduction to the Mineral Kingdom

I am reworking the design to the handouts for a workshop I’ve titled, Rocks 101. There are a few classes I have put together over the years, based on what I know and deem to be true. Rocks, minerals, stones, gems… whatever you would like to call them, I love them so. Many friends and family know me as the rock go-to girl and I’m always looking to learn more to better serve. Allas the rock workshops I have attended left me disappointed with no new knowledge or deeper understanding. I don’t mind spending money or traveling but it has to be worth the effort. On all my drives home, I would start to replay the workshop and add or take out parts to make it worth my time. If these people are pitching rock info, why do I feel ripped off? What could be done differently ensuring everyone attending would leave knowing more and reflecting on how it was money well spent. Sure one might detect a hint of arrogance in that statement but it’s unintentional. Another way to word my thought is, “I can teach people about rocks in a way where learning will be more comprehendible and improve ones abilities to understand the mineral kingdom.” After complaining on how the workshops I attended were lack luster, my teacher (for many metaphysical studies) said to me, “You should create a rock workshop” and that was enough to push me to doing so.

Keeping the material familiar enough, making sure the people will remember the names of the stones was the first task to tackle. Birthstones seemed the best way to go about revisiting many common names. My research proved there are many takes on 12 gemstones corresponding with the months of the year. Once I settled on a grouping, it was a matter of getting the minerals.

A scattering of "brilliant" cut diam...

I wanted to have the guests be able to hold each of the minerals being discussed. After all, a hands on approach is one of the best ways to learn about a subject. Using all of our senses would help the information get absorbed in a deeper way. I was able to obtain the majority of stones but a few gems I ask the participants to bring from home. I wish I had enough money to pass around diamonds!

Handouts are one of my favorite things to receive when attending a workshop. The presentations I give have some great take homes and the Rocks 101 is no exception. A 16 page booklet has been designed and created with all sorts of history and lore, facts and beliefs. It’s not the 8×11 paper folded in half type of booklet but each page is standard letter size, stapled in the corner. The layout is baby bear style, not too much and not too little, just the right amount. There is a nifty glossary and a rockin’ reference ensuring future questions get answered or guidance to another path to find the answer.

My teacher has listened to this presentation twice since I developed it 3 years ago and is hinting at a Rocks 201. I will have to let her know I’ve reworked the handouts and give her a new booklet. Maybe some point this year I will start formulating the next level workshop. As of now, towards the end of June, Rocks 101 is scheduled for a road trip making it the first time I’m traveling with the kids (cute way of saying rocks). I’m excited to share my knowledge with others and witness what they pick up from the minerals. Discussion and insight is another component I like my workshops to have.   From rereading all of the booklet’s pages I’m learning more information and become more familiar with the stones to be presented. I look forward to further insight the people attending the class are privy to and growing my knowledge along with them. I love rocks.

Day Three of Aromatherapy Auditing

Sevilla has orange trees everywhere.

Earth Day was the ending date of the level one aromatherapy class I audited over the weekend. The hour long meditation we participated in that morning had a very strong mother earth involvement, unlike any I have felt before. It is always an honor to respect, send love and gratitude to the being (she is very much alive scientifically and metaphysically) who struggles every moment to take care of all of us, regardless of any belief system humans have. Mother earth does a fantastic job, my wish is for everyone to become more respectful towards nature and one another. If anything, taking an aromatherapy class makes a tree hugger out of you for sure!

The Secret Life of Plants
The Secret Life of Plants                 Christopher Bird

4-22-12 A brief break down of the secret life of plants… Body language is a representation of how we feel inside. The unspoken messages we are communication with one another has a lot to do with how we truly feel about that particular subject or topic being discussed. Let’s look at how a plant (bush, tree) talks to us. What conversation are they having with us after all of our years not fully listening to them? If a particular part of the plant was harvested for distilling to make an essence, what could we expect it to assist us with? An orange tree needs specific things to grow up big and strong, we basically need the same things for a healthy life. Though the leaves, oxygen and nutrition is taken in. If that part of the tree was made into an essence chances are it will help improve our body’s respiratory system along with emotionally problems preventing us to fully inhale life. The inner wood of the tree would assist heart issues because it is the center structure of the tree. The bark would represent our skin (as it is the tree’s). An orange, the fruit of the tree, has vitamins, nourishment for our bodies. The rind, peel is protection for the fruit and the essence will help with the body’s immune system while energetically assisting us with personal defense. Seeds represent a new beginning or is reflective of how to deal with a core problem. Now take a look at how the plant (bush, tree) holds itself. Aromatherapy helps to bring more awareness to becoming more flexible, grounding yourself, reaching up high. The flower’s colors indicate symbolism and additional benefits too, don’t overlook that detail. The characteristics of the flower, how it presents itself is another association important to healing physical and mental issues. This is a quick interpretation of conversations available when we choose to listen to the plant kingdom. A brief overview of the myriad of possibilities aromatherapy can help one defeat to regain a healthier, natural life.

After many hours of learning, sampling, sharing, smelling, applying, talking and holding consultation with other students, it was our turn to go ahead and pick an essence for ourselves. There are over 200 bottles to choose from. Someone had chosen the one I was planning t0 take back with me and mediate on, so I had to use my intuition and approach the task the way I should of. Closing my eyes, I took a deep breath in, held it for a few seconds exhaled and opened up my eyes and reached out without over annualizing the situation.

The key message from the weekend’s adventure is to listen. Be still and listen. Observe and interpret. Abolish, diminish, expel fear and embrace love. There is no need to second guess, trust and you will always do the right thing. Support is abundant, just ask because it can come to you from many angles.

Day Two of Aromatherapy Auditing

Not exactly sure about all the comments I made today (not to mention the stories) with the group. Because of all the essences on our bodies and in the air, things get rather zany. There are moments of deep thought and pure relaxation followed by anxiety and apprehension settling back into peace and harmony. Because I am so sensitive to energies, it’s rather challenging for me to figure out what my personal struggle is within a group dynamic. Yep, I know it may read like a cop out for not dealing with my problems, not my intention however. There are dramatic pros and cons with involvement in workshops for me. I’m very particular for what I sign up to do and where I go. This aroma group is very special to me. Part of the love I feel is the ability for total strangers to open up and share personal issues. I really do hope it was much different for the group in a positive way but today was a very tough day for me in figuring out which way was up. I am grateful to audit because the time spent is observing in a room filled with fabulous smells and love. I’m loving this audit advantage because I’m sharing the weekend with my journal. Little bottles of essences, full of big beautiful LOVE. All you need is love! (click if you would like some music to read along to)

4-21-12 Know your limits. Believe and trust yourself. Wisely try some different things but take a few seconds first and tune into your inner knowing. Trust with education and body acknowledgment. Stand in your truth. Tune into the plant, aroma, essence and ask to elevate the problem before you. Allow a communication to occur. Unplug your ears and hearts. You will be fine, you’ve gotten this far why not explore a bit more. The better one of us is, the better we all become. Ask questions. If you don’t know who or how you will receive the answer, reset your posture, make a shift, then ask again. Pay attention to your body’s reactions, the reply can come to you as a heartbeat, ache, twitch, lean or pendulum sway.

Something I have come to believe: We are never alone. There is always support all you need to do is ask. Love is abundant.

Resistance, facade, armor… they all take way to much energy to cover who you are. Of course there are times (with love) we dawn a hat to protect those out of our respect with a need to support them. Putting on a hat to act in a way opposite of our true feelings is appropriate at times. Go within, drop the anchor, let it fall without fan-fair (relaxed quote from John). “What you resist, persists” said Wendy. Use your intuition, ask and enjoy how you get the message. Start a new habit. Build upon what you know to be true. Allow health to flourish inside and out, within without.

It is wild how the conversation keeps on spinning amongst the members of the group. Questions are raised with a different structure but all seem to have the answer in common, love. Chapters in our lives fill with suggestions picked up from advice, solicited or not. Aimed at us, for us or not, it all matters. Don’t give away your power. Have a strong support group to surround yourself with blessed family and friends.

Animals have an acute awareness to the aromas and other emotions. Our furry (scaly-feathered-smooth skinned) friends need fewer drops of essences because of their small size in comparison to our body mass. The animal companions mimic many of our troubles, sample our worries, celebrate our joys and take on problems in order for us to have a better day. We love them for many reasons and value their friendship and limitless concern for our well being. Love, love, love.

Believe systems. You have our own sets of values that can be changed whenever you wish. Be respectful. Plants teach from their core from a place of compassion for all life. The plants live this way adhering to their natural cycle dependent on other organisms and environments. They are in harmony with others accompanying the earth. Humans (for the most part) have transplanted and forced an unnatural rhythm upon the plant kingdom. Pushing our needs and wants on another kingdom is not coming from a place of love. No integrity, concern or honor is felt with any invasive action. We should all be more aware of our actions. More thoughtful movements will effect others, no matter how big or small or if they vote or have pockets to carry cash. Humans should strive to mimic the Golden Rule and adhere it to the earth, continuing the love spectrum in a healthy balanced way.

Day One of Aromatherapy Auditing

I wrote in my journal as I felt inspired to. The following will be a copy with the entries separated into segments. I’m not going to rework the notes into a story, just present it as pieces reiterating a topic talked about or general understanding from experiences, all encompassing. I believe in plants, the earth, animals, us and all other things that appear and not so much to have a conscience. The energy coming from a group of like minded people allows walls to be taken down and a new improved outlook to develop. Learning more about the wonders of nature and the voice of your body only makes me want to speak my mind more and become stronger in my resolve. I love auditing aromatherapy classes!

4-20-12 Family, we are family (nope, I will not be linking the song). The unity of family envelops me, surprises me and brings great comfort at the same time. It is fascination how many of us are the same. When we group together, join, band together the focus becomes clearer and we become stronger, healthier and more alive… wide awake. Aromatherapy helps you to look deeper, explore, fix, change, understand and heal. Aromatherapy helps to open you up, reminding us that we are connected to the earth. The plants will reveal themselves when we allow them to enter and heal our lives.

Cover of "The Power of Myth (Illustrated ...
Cover of The Power of Myth

What you are drawn to tells about your level of inner bliss. Joseph Campbell talks about following your bliss and has used myths to explain what bliss is and what it can be. I understand it to be a guttural resounding approval, important to and for well being for me and others around me, in all circles of life. Past, present and future. Something I believe to be true: When we improve ourselves, others respond. This action and reaction might not always turn out as what we envision or what we desire. Taking a step back and allowing things to fix themselves is positive advancement towards our goal (bliss). Those that are closest to us, their higher selves will notice the shift, allowing the information to channel into the brain and eventually into the soul. A voice of some sort is given to the silent change, we need to listen to hear it’s cry. When one of us is better, we all are improved.

From childhood we are very trusting. All too often trust gets mangled, abused, taken advantage of or is mismanaged in some detrimental way. Trust is very important to human kind, any race for that matter. We learn early on to trust our instants. When that trust is abused, the harder it is to recover from that injury to ones soul.

“Illuminate an instructor that shines the light” said my friend Victoria. Communication is part of why we are who we are. To understand is wisdom. The body is smart. Listen, it’s talking to you every moment of the day.

Connection even though the body is different (has changed) the spirit is still the same. The plants will change to adapt. Their body changes often too, yet remain the same. Work from your overflow point when practicing energy work. Receive first in order to give. Ask any essence and you shall be granted the desired outcome. Ask and no matter what the essences are reported to do, they can alter properties to assist you. Masaru Emoto studied water and one lesson was along the line of the more love, the closer bliss is (my wording). Be kind and thoughtful, trusting and loving towards all, smart and steadfast. Unwavering in your understanding but open to change, allowing new information to come in and educate yourself on all matters.

Sharing Angelic Beliefs

The medieval 'Queen Mary harp' Clàrsach na Ban...

I had a very affirming conversation with a woman the other day. Because I was representing the local hospital (Reiki volunteer) a level of professionalism needed to be maintained. All I wanted to do was yell, “Me too!” while pulling up a chair and continuing the convo like school yard buddies reuniting during college’s Thanksgiving break. Keeping my voice low and not waving my arms around while conducting energy work is hard enough here, now finding a new friend who is talking so openly to a stranger (me) makes my heart sing. Some of the topics covered were near death experiences, good and not so good entities, faith, and angels. I would like to devote some WP time to angels and the things I consider to be factual. Again, this is my opinion based on personal experience, stories read, lectures heard, accounts of others (my new friend in particular) and an overwhelming sense of truth on the matter.

Enough proof has been collected over the years and I’m happy to proclaim, angels always have music and song around them. This orchestra and choir is unlike anything us humans have created or heard but it is similar enough for us to interpret as music and song. The woman I met, who prompted this post out of me, concurred as to not fully understanding the sound. We spoke of a few  experiences with our eyes brimming with joy and wonder. Incomprehensible beauty and awe, scored with grace, including a melody of hope and love is an attempt to explain what it sounds like. The written word still falls short of explaining the angelic music. No, interpretive dance would not help either, wink.

The Son of Man

Another fact is angels often come before key players. That was a relaxed and playful way to write, angels clear the way for some of the most loving spirits. Mother Mary and Babaji are two I’m familiar with. Why do angels lead the procession? I can only speculate and guess it is to assist with the balancing of  energy required for the ones behind them. Another ways to say it is, angels help to raise the vibration of the room so the message, blessing or communication  from key speaker, is channeled in a way that’s the most beneficial for all concerned.

Those were the two metaphysical things I learned and now fully believe to be factual after my jam packed 5 and a half hours of volunteering. That day was filled with all types of emotion, covering all levels of the spectrum. Taking a short  break before calling it a day, I sat with one of the nurses in the lunch room. My new friend was heading out too and found me and her nurse in the room. It’s Easter time and her Catholic community performs traditional holy week ceremonies which she actively participates in. As she was telling us about her weekend plans (which included singing) I pictured her dressed in white clothing. Then, more subtle than a breaking news ticker scroll, I heard very clearly in my mind, make sure you tell her to wear white. Just as fast as I was receiving information, she was gone. The prompting had the type of alert to heed, so I excusing myself from the table to chase down my new friend. Pushing the boundaries of professionalism, I shared with her some of the information by saying, if she has the chance,”…wear something white for the events” Not going into too much detail, I kept up my smile and added, “Wearing white might allow some type of blessing to come through clearer and more focused, helping you with whatever healing you needed.” She nodded in understanding and we were  glad to be able to give one another a hug. Hugs are professional, right?

When I got back to my lunch mate, I said with a full heart, “God bless you for being a nurse.” She laughed and said with a mouth full of quiche, “God bless you for volunteering.” Fair enough… fist bump.

Living on the Ledge

As a child I would take my fathers hammer and wallop a mixed assortment of landscaping pebbles on the driveway. Yes, I got in trouble for making a mess and creating divots on the pavement but I didn’t care… they were beautiful on the inside, nothing to how they looked on the outside. I had become rather obsessive compulsive with pulverizing them. Perhaps I was working out aggravation or simply bored, either way it took several punishments and lectures to curb my habit. It wasn’t until my adulthood and my fascination to all things mineral I’ve come to realize a big part of why I was doing this was to get energy from breaking them open.

Our home, my husband’s and mine, sits on a beautiful ledge that spans the neighborhood street. This rock comes into the basement and has been shaped by the original owners into a bench of sorts. There were several factors to why we bought this house and one of them was the ledge. Over the years I have had many personal revolutions and feel many were due to the energy of the house and land, with a nod to said rock. Another person on the block has commented on how happy she is when sitting in her living room. “The energy is wonderful in here, such a positive vibe. I get great ideas and I’m always in a good mood.” I laughed and replied, “It’s the rock!” She was surprised to realize the ledge runs right under that area of her house.

I have sat on this ledge and wrote. I have sat on this rock and practiced Reiki healing attunements. I’ve watched my nephews and niece run and stumble along this ledge many times (if it seems big to me, it must be a mountain to them). Many of my adult friends like to stand on it too. There have been times when a few have excused themselves and went outside to be alone with the rock.

Around this property I have rocks from my childhood home. I could not part with them once the house was sold. Some of the stones came from my maternal grandmother house’s rock garden and others I sat on growing up. I took what I could fit into the car and placed them around this yard. Now we are in the process of moving off the ledge and have no clue how I’m going to fit this rock into my car! There are a few pieces that have fallen off because of weathering. Those will come with us to our next move for sure, along with the others from my homestead. I have always surrounded myself with stones and believe in the comfort they share with me. Not sure just why I love minerals so much but sure it has spanned all of my lifetimes, not just this one.

Yes, I See You: A Continuation

Now that it (best word to use at the moment) had my attention I needed to take some type of action in order for it not to affect me or come home with me. What was missing from the house clearing was the owners permission… I don’t like to do metaphysical things without getting consent first. My general default is, if it’s an emergency it is OK to continue, regardless. This situation was close enough to flashing red lights and since I knew the owners of the house I was more comfortable with preceding. Also I planned to tell the homeowner (3rd part to the story) about what I was experiencing and did, making the ordeal more acceptable to my conduct code rules.

I’ve learned over the years when dealing with the unseen world, you have to be smarter than what you are dealing with. One of my sources for advice is the color series, Andrew Lang’s Fairy Books and tend to reflect on the tales for assistance. I believe there are reasons myths, lore and rituals have stayed in circulation as long as they have. These ancient stories serve as a type of handbook for many things macabre or otherwise. Using my learned knowledge in conjunction with experiences, was what I was drawing from at this point. The entity was acting in a way to be disruptive, making sure I knew it was around (which is kind of like looking to pick a fight) coupled with presenting itself to my mind’s eye as a cute adult Jim Henson creation. This mixture developed quickly into a situation needing to be addressed presently and not dismissed for another time. Another “red light” was I had 2 more hours left in the cleaning job and I was not going to share the space any longer with this thing.

I began setting the intention for all that is unbeneficial to leave (typical in house clearing practices) and quickly realized I needed to call on another person for help. I believe it is very important to listen to your gut’s instinct while conducting energy work and wasn’t going to brush this feeling off. I left a message on my allies Facebook page as a heads up instead of physically calling, it was early and I didn’t want to bother her. Any type of communication is good, it all depends on the level of support desired, the FB wall post was good enough. There is something called a higher self and that connection was made quickly between us but I wanted to make sure her physical self knew of the task at hand for good balance. A few minutes later she replied on FB. Since I knew she was awake, I physically called her… I needed more support than I thought a moment ago. “Trust your gut and listen to those inner voices” is the pep cheer I was not ignoring. The phone call would make the bond stronger, power in numbers you know plus the camaraderie would help me be more courageous.

clip-art-hello-kitty-663318

We talked on the phone for about 20 minutes. A few minutes was on house clearing, confirming what I was picking up on and her* concurring with the remaining minutes being typical women chatting on the phone. Yep, feather dusting, talking and ushering out bad juju was all done during that time. Multi tasking is a favorite past time of mine, ha. Energy work does not need to be all arm waving and long elaborate theatrical productions. In other words, not giving anymore attention to it but continuing with a mental removal for the house is fine. There were two of us, aware that it needed to “go to the light and leave” was understood plus we have been doing this type of stuff for years, simple enough. We ended our conversation, said goodbye and I finished dusting the first floor while continuing with some extra mental house clearing. I wanted to make sure I covered the bases and didn’t miss anything.

Now to finish my job, what I was called over to accomplish. Grabbed my cleaning basked and headed up to the second floor. As I was climbing the stairwell the uneasy feeling started again. “You have got to be kidding me!” I said out loud… well maybe that wasn’t a direct quote but close enough, ha! Making sure of what I was picking up with my psychic senses, I spent about 10 minutes (while physically cleaning) double checking things and tapping deeper into what I was contending with. I realized we had removed the gate keeper, not very comforting regarding how big this thing was. There were two crystal clear choices before me, either leave (not exactly the Amityville GET OUT! but a distant cousin) or cure the situation, now. This explained why I got the internal “green light” from the get-go to treat the day with an emergency waver stamped approved. A word to the wise, don’t ignore your instincts in many situations. You are smart enough to tap in and listen to advice coming from a higher loving source, don’t let it get to a third and fourth whisper, act sooner than later.

Remember how I just got through writing about stereotypical theatrics? Well, that’s the next mandatory level. I’m much more comfortable doing house clearings solo because I never know what I’m going to be guided to do. I was hoping to bypass the arm waving but to be honest, it is necessary to become animated for a stronger affect based on the set intention. I attempt to dispel the Hollywood stereotypical depiction of ghost busting and anything that paints healing abilities in a negative, uneducated way. Practice is the key for just about anything actually, the more you do, the better you become and more prepared for different situations. Remember how I mentioned folk lore? Well, that stuff isn’t as untrue as one might expect. A cloak will help protect the individual from negativity, a tool to direct or assist in the task and voice, spells if you will. These are my three main have to haves when conducting (think for a moment what makes up a an orchestra’s performance magnificent). Since I set out to do something totally different from why I had to do now. I needed to create an altered reality, use my imagination like I did when I was a child.

I knew when the time was right (because of listening to my gut) dropped what I was doing and gravitated to a place on the second floor that was perfect for the clearing. I went over with a smirk because it happened to be the house’s balcony. As I walked to my mark, I pretended I was emerging from my dressing room and cloaked myself with a majestic cape made from the finest material, bedazzled in all the right places. I needed to “Elvis” the situation because it was a go grand or go home situation. The ritual of calling on all of those who are of light and love, my guardians, saints, ascended masters, guardian angels, ancestors and asking for assistance was underway. A few more steps and it was show time, focused concentration and energetically opening up in a way to ensure the proper script to come through. For me, it’s very much like a lecture of sorts. I’m carful to make eye contact with everyone, speak in a clear strong voice and believe in the message being presented. No, I don’t recall what I said for the five minutes for several reasons but it was similar to, “Hello and welcome, thank you for joining me today. We are here to move out what is unbeneficial so the homeowners can dwell  with relaxation and happiness. I command those that are not of love to go into the light to find peace, a peace to bring joy to you so the homeowners can live their lives without disturbances.” I tend to repeat the original sentiments in various ways depending on what is noticed psychically adding in some physical gestures for good measure. The closing happens with blessings along with hugs and kisses to those who helped. This is my favorite part because the feeling of love is overwhelming for me, such a pleasure and honor on my part. I am forever in awe and grateful for this sensation.

*A cat named “K” was another party involved in the concurring for the continuation for ghost-busting. Yes, only initials for now, I’ll add a link once my friend starts her blog on WP with her furry daughter. They are a dynamic duo for sure!
